Peterborough Council is eying up the development potential of the Lincoln Road bus depot in Peterborough. The site has been used for trams and buses and opened over 100 years ago. Situated in a semi-residential area the Council believes the site could play an integral part in its plans to redevelop the Millfield area of the City.
Stagecoach operations from the depot are constrained by the location, layout and capacity of the depot. It has been considering a move for a number of years but has yet to identify a suitable site for a new depot.

We understand that the company has met with staff and the RMT union  and started an eight week consultation period about transferring management of the Long Sutton depot operation to Stagecoach East Midlands.
Long Sutton depot was established in April last year with an allocation of 14 vehicles (12 double decks and two Dart SLF midibuses) following the closure of the former Norfolk Green King’s Lynn depot. Maintenance of the Long Sutton fleet is currently carried out at Peterborough depot.
Long Sutton operates the 505 Spalding-King’s Lynn service as well as Fenland routes serving Wisbech and March.
