✤Stagecoach East Heritage fleet open top Bristol FLF 19952 was used yesterday as a mobile workshop during the removal of timetable cases from bus stops between King’s Lynn and Hunstanton ahead of the closure of King’s Lynn depot next weekend. The opportunity was also taken for a quick photo opportunity at the Hunstanton Lighthouse. See our Blog page for more photos.
Former Coasthopper Optare Solo SR, 48031, which was repainted in corporate livery by Stagecoach Yorkshire at its’ Chesterfield depot, is back in service from King’s Lynn.
Following the closure of King’s Lynn depot next weekend we understand that a number of vehicles will be transferred to Bedford resulting in a significant reduction of the age profile of vehicles there. As a result of the fleet revisions we understand that the remaining ALX300-bodied MAN saloons remaining in service here will be withdrawn from service. Enviro 300s will replace those at Bedford whilst Dart SLFs believed to be used as MAN/ALX300 replacements at Peterborough. ✤Stagecoach Midlands Several of the Corby Star-liveried Scania/East Lancs double decks were in use last week on the Oundle-Peterborough group of services. Whilst not unusual the use of the vehicles last week, rather than the planned Enviro 400s, was a result of vehicle maintenance requirements. The use of these distinctive-liveried vehicles on the 23 and 24 routes will cease from the end of May when Corby becomes an outstation of Kettering and they are retained as Corby vehicles for town service 3. The 23 and 24 Oundle routes will be amalgamated into an increased frequency Stagecoach Gold X4 service which will operate every 30 minutes between Northampton and Peterborough.

Further MAN/East Lancs Kinetics transferred here include 22514 from Slatyford to Stockton in exchange for MAN/ALX300 22066 and 22512 from Slatyford to Walkergate in exchange for MAN/ALX300 22342.
