In scenes reminiscent of the former Saturday TV series Swap Shop, Stagecoach vehicles are being moved around the country as either cascades following new vehicle deliveries, completion of tram replacement work or straight swaps. I can imagine an internal discussion board reading some thing like “Tridents available will swap for single decks”, well that’s the Stagecoach West/Stagecoach Merseyside & South Lancashire exchange explained!
Following the delivery of new Enviro 400MMs to Stagecoach Oxfordshire a batch of six Scania/Enviro 400s has been released with 15434/35 now on the books of Stagecoach South West and 15436-39 assisting with the displacement of step floor double decks at Stagecoach South East. We have also been advised that the Headington Connect 700 branding is due to be/has been removed from Enviro 400s 10061-71. Further transfers of vehicles from Stagecoach Oxfordshire to other fleets is expected in the coming months.
At Stagecoach Midlands the repaint of MAN saloons at Nuneaton is seeing vehicles return to service without Matrix branding.
Further Tridents have been reported as arriving with Stagecoach Merseyside & South Lancashire from Stagecoach West with 18385 and 18440/41/42 reported as being at Gillmoss with at least Optare Versa 25229/31-34 already transferred south to Gloucester in exchange.
Look out for one of Stagecoach East’s Peterborough-based Enviro 200s receiving pink all over advertising livery for Cancer Research UK - suggestions are that 36011 could be the recipient.
Finally Lou Phillips reports on Twitter that at least three Enviro 400s, 19648/49/51, transferred from Stagecoach Yorkshire to Stagecoach South East have been put into service at Eastbourne working services 1 and 1A.
