News reaches us that East Yorkshire Motor Services has sold four Tridents. 638-41 were expected to be withdrawn and sold a couple of years ago when they returned to Hull from the Finglands fleet, but were instead returned to service. Their withdrawal has been made possible with the delivery of new vehicles.
Further new Enviro 200s delivered to Stagecoach North East at South Shields are 37309 and 37310, whilst 37308 which had been expected to be kept under wraps pending a launch of the ‘Connecting the Dots’ branding was pressed into service yesterday afternoon.
We have been advised that the new Enviro 200 at Stagecoach South East’s Hastings depot, 37327, has not even received Stagecoach branding, legal lettering or fleet numbers by 28th July.
At Bluebird Buses Volvo B10M 52313 is now for disposal, whilst 52214 from the training fleet at Aberdeen is shown as scrapped.
Stagecoach Highlands has transferred MAN/Enviro 300 22794 from Orkney to Caithness, where it has allowed Volvo B10M 20958 to be transferred to the Reserve Fleet.
It is understood that the five new Optare Solo SRs with Stagecoach East at King's Lynn (48021-25) are now in service and that some, if not all of them are named. Details of the names carries will be reported once confirmed.
