We have now been advised that Stagecoach South Wales Alexander PS-bodied Volvo B10Ms 20362/65/66/89 have been taken out of service and have already left the company. It is believed they have gone to Ensign. The ‘heritage’-fleet example 20392 is also out of service at Cwmbran and is expected to move to Blackwood for storage pending a final decision on its future.
The former Stagecoach East Scotland MAN/ALX300, 22377, transferred at the end of last year to Stagecoach West has been reported as receiving attention at Stagecoach South Wales’ Bulwark depot. Stagecoach South fleet information received advises that Enviro 200s 37261-7are all in service now at Aldershot and all branded for 'The Kite' (route 20 Aldershot- Guildford, although the route number doesn't feature in the branding). Similar 37275-9 have also now arrived at Portsmouth. 37275 is unbranded but the other four have received branding for routes 30 and 31 to Hayling Island (from Havant). Stagecoach East has now despatched six of the former X5 coaches from Bedford to Stagecoach East Midlands. Fleet numbers are awaiting confirmation but it is understood they will be refurbished by Plaxton before being allocated to MegabusPlus duties at Hull. Vehicle problems again with Stagecoach East at Bedford appears to be the reason why Stagecoach East has transferred two Reserve Fleet Tridents 18423/24 there and also sent Enviro 37214 on loan from Cambridge and Dart SLF 34881 on loan from Peterborough. The Megadekka 14000 has also been out on daytime service and former X5 coachs 53617/18 have also been out on service.
