January 31st 2020: Fleet Ramblings31/1/2020
Stagecoach Cumbria and North Lancashire
The company reports that Reserve Fleet Trident 18138 is now in the main fleet at Carlisle, we presume as a replacement for Enviro 400 19141 which is now recorded as in the Reserve Fleet at Carlisle. Also moved from the Reserve Fleet to the main fleet at Carlisle is MAN/Enviro 300 22882. Enviro 400MMC is confirmed as now back in Manchester and on loan to Stagecoach Group for special trials. We believe these may be IT-related. Further withdrawn vehicles sold are Dart SLF 34714 and MAN/Enviro 300s 22608 and 22886. Stagecoach North Scotland [Highlands] It would appear that Stagecoach North East is providing engineering support here with Enviro 300 27590 (from Inverness) and Volvo B7R 53316 (from Orkney) having been moved to the North East. To provide cover in this fleet we understand that new Enviro 400MMCs 11298, 11300 and 11503 have been received at Inverness from Stagecoach North East. They are on loan and all three are in plain white livery. There is a suggestion that a total of six vehicles from Stagecoach North East will be temporarily allocated to Inverness. Stagecoach North Scotland [Bluebird] We understand that transfer of Enviro 400s 19212-17 which are expected here from Stagecoach North East, had been temporarily put on hold and some of the vehicles are expected to be returned to service in the North East as cover for the Enviro 400MMCs which have gone on loan to the Stagecoach North Scotland [Highland] fleet at Inverness. Stagecoach Midlands Trident 18152 has been returned to service at Northampton whilst we understand that similar 18323/71/98/99 and 18403 are all back operational and have been in service over the last week at Leamington. Recently re-instated to the operational fleet at Kettering after being listed for withdrawal, MAN/Enviro 200 39699 has been pressed into use on the X4 Northampton-Peterborough route today covering for a Gold-spec Enviro 400MMC.
