January 6th 2015

6/1/2015

We have been advised that older Dart SLF 33970 with Stagecoach West was in service today (and also reported in service on January 7th) in Swindon. It is usual for Reserve Fleet vehicles to be used in service.
Stagecoach Oxfordshire has put Reserve Fleet MAN/Enviro 200 22771 into the operational fleet at Oxford, whilst the three remaining Dart SLFs in the fleet, 33651/52/54 are no longer regarded as part of the Reserve Fleet and have been listed as awaiting disposal. 33651 is at Banbury with 33652/54 at Oxford.
Stagecoach Cumbria and North Lancashire reports that Volvo B10M/Alexander PS 20457 is back in service at Carlisle. It has replaced 20459 which has moved to the Reserve Fleet.
East Yorkshire Motor Services has taken Volvo B7TL 649 out of service and it will be converted for use by the Training Department. Optare Solo 420 has been taken out of service at Elloughton and sold, whilst the remaining operational Mercedes Vario in the fleet has been taken out of service at Pocklington and delicenced. Tridents 639 and 641 have been repainted out of Finglands livery into EYMS fleet livery. The two Scania K360 coaches, 132/33, that had been on loan to the Hull Coaching Unit have been acquired.
Further to our comment on Stagecoach UK Bus branding yesterday we can confirm that the use of local or company descriptors as part of the fleet name have been discontinued and in future only the Stagecoach logo and name will appear. Local route branding remains.
