Stagecoach East
Scania/Enviro 400MMC 15294 is now back operating on loan to Cambridge (along with sisters 15291/92/93). Also now back in service and on loan to Cambridge is Scania/Enviro 400 15197 whilst just six of the type, 15198-202 and 15657, are in the operational fleet at Fenstanton. Stagecoach Manchester Further Enviro 400s transferred to Stagecoach East Midlands are 19115 and 19116. Stagecoach East Midlands Withdrawn Trident 18021 is now at Worksop where it is providing additional Social Distancing accommodation for drivers. It is also being used during the morning run-out by depot despatch Controllers. Stagecoach Oxfordshire We are now able to confirm that following our news item a few weeks ago, Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire expressed its interest in acquiring Scania/Enviro 400 15533, which has been out of use here since the end of last year. Its movement to the Cumbria fleet is imminent. Stagecoach London Leaving this fleet is Enviro 200 36366 has been cascaded to the Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire fleet. We understand it is being converted to single door layout before it makes the journey north to Cumbria. Go North East The Go North East website reports that repainted last week was Volvo B7TL/Wright Eclipse Gemini 3943 into the 2019 fleet livery. An additional National Express diagram is in operation from Chester-le-Street Depot’s Coaching Unit from today with Volvo B11RT/Caetano Levante III 7148 and 7149 being to cover Optare Solo SR M890/Optare 652 has transferred to Chester-le-Street Depot from Washington, to see primary use as a ‘drivers rest bus’ and to provide cover for the minibus services in the event of any of the three already allocated there being off service. In exchange, Washington has received Scania CN230UB/Scania Omnicity 5263. The seasonal Toon Tour service is not yet running, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Despite this; open-top format Plaxton President bodied Volvo B7TLs 3997 and 3998 have been reinstated at Percy Main, and 3999 at Riverside. As these vehicles are something of a novelty; they are expected to be used on frontline core commercial work on sunny days, with the aim of creating some happiness and fun during the current pandemic. Washington Depot will no longer receive the brand-new ADL Enviro 400s which were on order. Instead they will now receive new Wright StreetDecks which are due in September. Float/Reserve Volvo B7TL/East Lancs Myllennium Vyking 3971 has transferred from Washington to be part of the main allocation at Riverside, enabling the withdrawal of Volvo B7TL/Plaxton President 6939 which has now been sold to L&G Coaches, Birtley. Due to the early cancellation of the schools services on which they were being used at Riverside, dual-door Volvo B7TL/Plaxton Presidents 6920 and 6921have been withdrawn from service and subsequently sold to Walters Coaches, Oxford. Volvo B7TL/East Lancs Myllennium Vyking 3973/75/83 and Scania L94UB/Wright Solar 4976 buses have been withdrawn from service permanently, and are now being prepared for sale: Due to the ‘2 metre’ social distancing rule being relaxed to ‘1 metre plus’, staff vans have been reinstated at Washington for crew reliefs with two or fewer colleagues travelling together. As such, Optare Solo M710SEs 706/07/08 have all been withdrawn from service. 706 and 708 have been sold to ARG Travel, Bellshill, while 707 has been sold to CEN Group Ltd, Tamworth.
