A surprise transfer advised to us by Dave Russell and Deric Pemberton is that of Dart SLF 34727 from Stagecoach Bluebird at Moray depot to Stagecoach West at Swindon. Moving the other way to Stagecoach Bluebird in exchange is Trident 18018. The Dart is required at Swindon where there is a peak vehicle increase requiring three additional Darts with 34402 being reinstated from the Reserve Fleet and 34838 transferring from Stroud. A replacement at Stroud is 33973 from the Reserve Fleet. At Gloucester Scania/Enviro 400 is currently undergoing collision repairs. The two Volvo B10M coaches recently received from Stagecoach East Midlands, 52381 and 52446, have been repainted into corporate livery and are now part of the training fleet at Gloucester.
At Stagecoach East, Bedford-allocated Volvo B10M coach 52485 was in use at Peterborough’s Queensgate Bus Station over the last weekend as a drivers’ rest room whilst redecoration of the canteen continued.
The Stagecoach in Hastings Bus Enthusiast Group advises that Stagecoach South East MAN/ALX300s 22009/57 have been taken out of service and are stored at Eastbourne. They also advise that Volvo Olympian 16344 has been taken out of service at Hastings and replaced with former Stagecoach Manchester Trident 17623. Also out of service at Hastings, and currently stored at Eastbourne awaiting repairs, is Trident 17106. We are also advised that the last Volvo B10M (Bus) on the books of Hastings depot, 20676, is also out of service.
Finally, Enviro 400 19051 has returned to Stagecoach South East at Thanet after a period on loan to Stagecoach Yorkshire for Supertram replacement work.
We are now able to confirm that the ADL Enviro 300s being displaced from Stagecoach South Wales' Cwmbran depot by the delivery of new Scania/Enviro 300s, 27189-205 will move to Stagecoach East Midlands. The transfer has been confirmed by Stagecoach South Wales with the transfer of at least 27190/91/92/94/95/98 and 27201/02/05 being imminent. It has been suggested that the bulk of these will be allocated to Hull.
Plaxton Panther-bodied Volvo B13R 54101 has transferred from Stagecoach South Wales to Stagecoach Midlands at Rugby, whilst the South Wales fleet has also seen Volvo B10BLEs 21174/76/78/79/87 taken out of the Reserve Fleet and are now awaiting disposal. Similar 21180 has been donated to a local college. Stagecoach South Wales also reports that Optare Solo 47717 has transferred from Porth to Cwmbran whilst East Lancs-bodied MANs 39607/09 have been taken out of service at Blackwood and moved to the Reserve Fleet.
