The planned takeover of South Gloucestershire Bus and Coach took place at 01:00 on Saturday 16th November. With thanks to our regular correspondents’ Dave Russell and Deric Pemberton we are able to provide full details of the vehicles taken over by Stagecoach along with the Stagecoach fleet numbers allocated. The Megabus vehicles which had been on loan have reverted to their former Stagecoach fleet numbers.

This last weekend also saw a busy race card at Cheltenham Races, although the number of vehicles on loan from other Stagecoach companies was much reduced on previous years with the following vehicles loaned, All were Enviro 400MMCs with the exception of Scania/Enviro 400 15988
Stagecoach Manchester: 11264/65
Stagecoach Midlands: 10726, 11219/20
Stagecoach Oxford: 10672
Stagecoach South: 10764, 10894, 15988

Many of the double decks used from the main Stagecoach West fleet were Gold-spec vehicles. Dave Russell & Deric Pemberton advise that there were plans to also use Swindon Bus Company and local operator Swanbrook on Friday evening, but as racing was cancelled, these didn’t materialise.
