Stagecoach Midlands has advised that the two Tridents received from Stagecoach West have been temporarily allocated to Leamington to prodice duplicate operations on the Uni1 service. The company also confirms that the former London Trident received from Stagecoach East Scotland, 17212, is being prepared for service and when that work is completed it will allow a further Volvo Olympian to be withdrawn. The two MAN/ALX300 saloons received from Stagecoach East Scotland, 22375 and 22376 have been allocated to Northampton to allow a couple of Scania/E300s to be cascaded for use on the X7 which has seen an increase in frequency to every 30 minutes between Northampton-Market Harborough-Kibworth. The frequency increase being the result of Section 106 developer funding.
With the exception of Trident 17012, which remains licenced at Kendal, Stagecoach Cumbria & North Lancashire has placed all of its Open Top fleet onto storage for the winter period and the company confirms that it has sold former Mercedes 709D information bus 40011. Several Optare Solos have been stood down from frontline service and placed into the Reserve Fleet - 47005/07/21/22, 47474, 47753/54. Also put into the Reserve fleet are two Volvo Olympians - 16118 and 16336. Received from Stagecoach Merseyside & South Lancashire is Alexander Royale-bodied Volvo Olympian 16238, it is for component recovery only and is due to donate its rear axle to 16670 at Morecambe.
Stagecoach East Midlands has finally put all of the Gas-powered Optare Solos back into service at Lincoln, which has resulted in the withdrawal or transfer to the Reserve Fleet of the remaining Lincoln-based Dart SLFs. The Open Top fleet has been stored for the Winter period along with Dart SLF 33213 and DAFs 26121/24/25/26. Trasferred from the Reserve Fleet at Grimsby into the frontline fleet at Lincoln are Volvo Olympians 16131/33/48, 16582, 16880. MAN/ALX300 22272 is being converted to a driver training vehicle, whilst similar 22122, 22365, 22453/63/64 have been transferred to the Reserve Fleet. Gainsborough has received Dart SLF 33208 as a replacement for accident damaged 34849, whilst 35136 has left Grimsby and is now at Worksop. New ADL E20D/Enviro 200s 37187-205 have now been delivered and are due to enter service at Grimsby next month. They are registered YY64GUC/D/E/F/G/H/J/K/O/U/W/X, GVA/C/D/E/F/G/J.
A MAN/ALX300 saloon, 22377, has been allocated to Stagecoach West. It has already been repainted pending entry into service. It came from Stagecoach East Scotland.
