Delivery of ADL E20D/Enviro 200s is now taking place from both the Scarborough and Falkirk production facilities. Those for Stagecoach East Midlands at Grimsby are due from Scarborough, whilst those for Stagecoach East are coming from Falkirk.
The first six new E200s for Stagecoach East at Cambridge 37205-10 were delivered last week to Cowley Road depot and carry registrations SN64OKH/J/K/L/M/O. They will be used on the Uni4 service and the older E200s they replace are expected to be transferred to Fenstanton depot where they will replace older Dart SLFs with Pointer bodywork.
The repainting of Stagecoach West MAN/Enviro 300 22847 means that no vehicles in the fleet now carry Gloucester Citi branding, whilst our regular correspondents Dave Russell and Deric Pemberton report that Solo 47122 has lost its service 37 branding. Also reported is a further reduction in the Reserve Fleet held for Cheltenham races - Volvo Olympian 16127 has been withdrawn and is now awaiting disposal. As was expected former Stagecoach South Wales Optare Versa 25217 has been allocated to Ross on Wye depot, replacing Dart SLF 33980 which has moved to Gloucester. Just one MAN/Enviro 300 remains at Swindon - 22620.
With effect from October 13th all Stagecoach West vehicles are operating on the Cheltenham & Gloucester Omnibus Company Limited licence. The Cheltenham District and Swindon & District licences have been surrendered.
Stagecoach Midlands also surrendered the United Counties Omnibus Company Limited licence on 13th October with all buses at Northampton, Kettering and Corby now operating on the Midland Red (South) Limited licence.
Stagecoach Midlands is also transferring an additional Trident, advised as 18403, to Corby depot where it will be allocated along with 18128 to the 23/24 Peterborough-Corby services, effectively eliminating Volvo Olympian operation on the route from Corby depot. Kettering also provides a vehicle for the route which is expected to continue to periodically use Volvo Olympians.
Stagecoach North East has now taken delivery of Enviro 300 27164 (SN64OJO).
