Tours & Excursions

On occasions Steven Knight Media may organise tours and excursions by heritage buses or coaches. These tours or excursions are made using Private Hire bookings with bus and coach operators and are operated subject to the Private Hire Conditions of Booking of the operator being used. Passengers are carried subject to standard published conditions of the operator(s) whose vehicle(s) are being used and passengers are reminded that it is an offence to take alcohol onto vehicles being used. Smoking, including the use of electronic cigarettes, is also prohibited.

All passengers must obey the instructions of officials of Steven Knight Media and/or the operator of the vehicle being used. Only passengers who have pre-registered to travel will be carried and there will be no facility for non-registered passengers to turn up on the day. We will advise the maximum cost, but no payment will be required until the day of the tour when it will be possible to calculate the cost based on the cost of vehicle hire and the number of passengers travelling. Payment will be taken within 30 minutes of boarding the vehicle. Once paid no refunds will be made and neither the operator of the vehicle nor Steven Knight Media will be responsible for any delays to the journey. To assist with punctual operation all passengers must ensure they are at any pick up/departure points in plenty of time. A receipt will be issued which acts as proof of payment and also as an authority to board the vehicle on the return journey.

  As vehicles are being used under a Private Hire agreement, the operator(s) have full insurance cover whilst travelling on the vehicle and also responsibility for arranging a replacement vehicle in the case of a breakdown. Neither Steven Knight Media nor the operator(s) of the vehicle(s) accept any responsibility for off vehicle activity which is purely as the passengers own risk. We will on occasions arrange with third parties off-vehicle activity and in all such cases the instructions of the responsible official must be adhered to at all times.

  We will also offer photographic opportunities. Participation in these photo opportunities is purely at the passengers own risk and if the passenger is not comfortable with that arrangement they should not leave the vehicle. Where passengers partake in any photocall they should be mindful of pedestrians and other vehicles and not place themselves in a position of danger. Participation in any photocall is purely at the passengers own risk.

  The operation of any tour is made by the respective operator(s) in accordance with the requirements of the Road Traffic Act and PCV Regulations who are in possession of all required legal authority to provide vehicle(s) for Private Hire operation.
